We are very pleased to announce that an upgraded version of Creme has been released today with the features and benefits listed below.
The new features are online now, so be sure to check them out when you next log in.
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Yours sincerely,

Creme Food Safety Features
- Exposure to multiple chemicals in a single assessment
- Data access control
- Table copying
- Fully recursive Recipe table searching
- Searching Results:
- Graph labelling
- Collaboration
- Job Prioritisation
This is a feature that we have had request for from a number of groups. When running an exposure assessment, you can now select more than one chemical from your Chemicals Table to include in the assessment. Results are now produced for each chemical individually and for the total aggregate chemical intake for the population.
Selecting multiple chemicals is achieved by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking each chemical in turn when submitting an assessment.
As Creme Food Safety is a collaboration tool, it allows you to share all of your tables, folders, data and simulations within your group. There is now an access control system in place which has the following options for the information on Creme Food Safety.
The owner of any information on Creme Food Safety can select the information to be:
* writable or not
For themselves, and either:
* readable or not
* writable or not
* hidden or visible
for their group.
Thus the owner (or creator) of any information on Creme can now control the level of access to that information within the group. For example, if you have some information that isn't ready to be used by others in the group, you can set the group permissions to "Hidden".
If you have some information that you don't want to be edited or deleted but you do want others to use it, you can set the permissions to "Readable" but "Not Writable" for your group. In this way only you retain the right to editing the data.
Table copies can now be quickly and easily made on Creme Food Safety without any downloading or uploading needed. This means that you can make a copy of an existing table on Creme Food Safety and then edit your copy for your own use.
This is a useful feature for when you have a table that you don't want anybody to edit. By locking the table for writing (using the access system above) you prohibit editing of that table by others in your groups.
Other users can make a copy of the table and then make changes to their own version of the table using the "Table Copy" function. This preserves the integrity of the original data and allows easy modifications to be made by others.
Table copies are made by clicking on the "modify" icon (spanner) beside a table and selecting the location and name for the table copy.
In the "Food Groups" section, searching a "Recipe Table" for an ingredient will now return all foods containing that ingredient, all ingredients of that ingredient, and recursively onwards until no more ingredients are found.
The corresponding recipe fractions are adjusted accordingly.
When removing unwanted results from a "Food Group" search, the unwanted items no longer have to be deleted from the "Results" table. Instead, they may just be filtered out, using the filter option. A new filter option, "NOT LIKE", has been added to make this process easier.
For example, if the user performs a search for "Apple", filtering the results where "Food Name" is "NOT LIKE pineapple" will filter out any "pineapple" results. Clicking "Add (filtered) Data" will only add the results that have not been filtered out.
Users can now specify detailed labels, including units, for all graphs generated on Creme Food Safety. For example: Bodyweight (kg) can now be inserted on a graph.
All graphs in the automatically generated simulation reports now come with clear labels and units.
On the homepage of the software, users can now see which other members of their group are currently logged in.
You also have the option of sharing information online not only within your organisation but between various organisations.
With this system, private collaboration spaces can be set up where two or more organisations want to share data, information and results. Users from each group will be able to copy folders, tables and actual simulations to and from the collaboration spaces.
Each group may have many separate private collaborations spaces for different collaboration projects they may be participating in. Groups can set up short term collaborations to discuss specific issues, and these spaces can be removed once the issue is resolved.
There will also be a public collaboration space where all organisations can share publicly available data, folders, tables and simulations.
Jobs with 5 iterations or less now run in a high-priority queue. This means that if the queue is busy with long jobs (with lots of iterations) and you want to run a quick test job it will run straight away in a high priority queue without any delays.
This allows you to quickly and efficiently set up for your simulations and check them before submitting the long (more iterations) version of the job to the system.
