Part Time Accountant

Creme Global creates predictive intake models and software to accurately assess the real-world impact on consumers of foods, additives, nutrients, personal care products, cosmetics, chemicals and pesticides.

Creme Global has a multidisciplinary team, with backgrounds in mathematics, nutrition, physics, pharmacology, computer science, economics and business.

The Role

Creme Global requires an experienced Accountant (part-qualified or qualified) to manage the day to day financial activities of the company. The role involves managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in a busy commercial environment.
This role reports to the Chief Operations Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts to include P&L, balance sheet reconciliations
  • Responsible for the Accounts Payable function to include entering invoices, making payments, reimbursement of staff travel expenses, supplier reconciliations and maintain supplier database
  • Responsible for the Accounts Receivable function to include generating customer invoices, customer account reconciliations and maintain customer database
  • Bank: Responsible for payments, lodgements and monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts
  • Cash: Manage petty cash, ensuring sufficient cash on site. Record all petty cash expenses. Reconcile petty cash on a monthly basis.
  • Fixed Assets: Record fixed asset additions, update fixed asset register and apply appropriate depreciation
  • Prepare and manage submission of VAT, VIES and CSO returns
  • Manage the annual external audit
  • Weekly Reports: Produce weekly reports for the Head of Operations and the CEO as required
  • Document Control: Scan and file all hard copy invoices and statements
  • Assist in the preparation of annual R&D tax credits submission to Revenue

Requirements – Professional/knowledge skills:

  • A fully qualified (or part qualified) Accountant
  • Candidates should have a minimum of two years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in online banking, bank reconciliations, VAT returns, ROS
  • Experience using SAGE 50 accounting software package
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical skills, numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Strong proactive communications skills, verbal and written
  • Fluency in the English language is required

Contract type: Part time – 10 to 15 hours per week for 6 months

Location: Dublin 2

Salary: Negotiable, DOE
