EU Commissioner Visits Creme Global Showcase
Written by Cronan McNamara
At the event, held in the Guinness Enterprise Centre, Commissioner Geoghegan-Quinn discussed new measures to support SME’s in developing high-potential innovations and guiding them to market through the Horizon 2020 programme. Horizon 2020 is a new EU framework programme for Research and Innovation which will run from 2014 – 2020. It aims to be competitive, business-orientated and focused on creating impact for the SME’s involved.
Cronan McNamara demonstrated Creme’s risk analysis software at the event and highlighted Creme’s involvement in EU Framework programmes such as Food4Me and Facet. Both are exciting European wide projects initiated under Framework 7. Commissioner Quinn was impressed with Creme’s history with European Framework Projects; the organisation itself arose out of research carried out in an EU Framework 5 project called Monte Carlo.
