Creme is delighted to announce that following the release of the NHANES (2009/2010) database, we have reviewed, installed and validated this data in Creme Food®. The NHANES (2009/2010) data is now available in all customer accounts.
The latest survey comprises food intake data for over 9,000 subjects, with more than 7,000 foods grouped into 229 food groups. All of this data is installed with the original food codes and group codes in Creme Food®. The food codes in the database are also linked with food composition information for 64 nutrients from the USDA Food and Nutrient Database for Dietary Survey (FNDDS 5.0) for nutritional intake modelling.
The NHANES survey has distinctive properties as it combines interviews and physical examinations. The interviews include demographic, socioeconomic, dietary and health related questions. The examinations consist of medical, dental and physiological measurements.
All dietary information is collected for 1 day or for 2 non consecutive days using the 24 hour recall method. Two day diaries allow us to produce variance estimates and calculate usual nutrient intakes for the population. This survey is ideal for population food safety exposure assessments and for nutritional intake modelling across different demographic groups using Creme Food®.
Please feel free to log in and review the data and be sure to let us know if you have any questions. If you would like to discuss a trial on Creme Food® in order to review this latest dataset and all of the other data we have installed, please contact us.
