Fiin was established in 2015 by a consortium of leading food businesses with the goal of enhancing food supply chain transparency and integrity. The creation of fiin was largely driven by high-profile incidents of food fraud which exposed vulnerabilities in the food supply chain and highlighted the need for more robust mechanisms to detect and prevent such activities.

This is a secure, anonymized data-sharing platform that allows member companies to contribute and access critical information related to food authenticity, safety, and fraud. This data is anonymized, double blinded and stored in a centralized database managed by Creme Global.
