Front-end Developer for Cloud-based Statistical Software – Dublin 2

Creme Global is an award winning company with global clients. Our clients include large multinationals, industry groups, government agencies and academic institutions. Creme Global’s multidisciplinary team, with backgrounds in mathematics, nutrition, physics, pharmacology, computer science, economics and business provide software and consultancy solutions to meet our clients’ needs.

Creme Global  has developed software to calculate consumer exposure to additives, nutrients, pesticides, flavouring compounds, packaging material migrants and novel & GM foods.

Creme Global is looking for an exceptional front-end developer who would enjoy working on challenging client projects and being part of a dynamic, Dublin city-centre-based company.

This role will involve joining a team of engineers in the development of an innovative range of data modelling applications. Current projects include flexible desktop and web clients, robust middleware and database servers and high speed scripting and computational engines.

At Creme Global we use a variety of software languages and programming paradigms. The ability to quickly adapt and learn new languages and programming techniques is essential. This role requires someone who has a passion for computer programming and takes pride in their ability to design and develop world-class software.


  • Significant experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS & AJAX to create highly interactive applications
  • Experience working with web APIs, JSON, XML
  • Experience developing and testing for multiple browsers and platforms.
  • At least one year’s experience in a similar role


  • Experience with Javascript MV* frameworks (Angular.js, Ember.js, Backbone.js)
  • Knowledge of server-side languages – e.g. PHP, Python, Ruby
  • Knowledge of server-side frameworks – e.g. Django, Flask, Rails, Node.js
  • Some experience with database technologies such as MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB
  • Experience of working collaboratively with a medium sized team of developers on a large code base using Git or similar version control
  • Experience with software engineering practices such as code reviews/pull requests, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration
  • Good aptitude and interest in mathematics and statistics

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communications skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to interpret technical, scientific and business requirements effectively
  • Fluency in the English language is required
  • An enthusiasm for self-directed learning and developing new skills
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team using agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
